The Soul-Warming Dish of South Asian Winters
Paya — slow-cooked trotters in a rich, deeply spiced broth — is one of the most comforting and nourishing dishes in South Asian cuisine. Traditionally simmered for hours until the collagen-rich broth turns silky and the meat falls off the bone, Paya is the dish that warms you from the inside out. National Paya Masala gives you the authentic spice blend to recreate this beloved classic at home, with all the depth and richness it deserves.
Why National Paya Masala?
- 🌫️ Deep, warming flavour — bold whole spices that build a rich, aromatic broth
- ✨ Authentic recipe — the traditional spice balance that makes Paya truly special
- 🍽️ Perfect for weekend cooking — slow-cook for a deeply satisfying family meal
- 🥛 Nourishing and hearty — a collagen-rich dish loved for its warming, restorative qualities
- 🏆 National quality — Pakistan’s most trusted spice brand for authentic results every time
How to Cook
Clean and wash the trotters thoroughly. Fry onions until deep golden, add trotters and National Paya Masala, and cook on high heat for 10 minutes. Add water, bring to a boil, then slow cook on low heat for 4–6 hours until the broth is rich and the meat is tender. Serve with naan or kulcha and a squeeze of fresh lemon.
Some dishes can’t be rushed — and Paya is one of them. The wait is always worth it.
